Music production, performance and teaching is what I’m all about.
I have worked on many artists albums both as producer and musician and have enjoyed taking my playing on road throughout the UK and Europe.
As well as all this I also have successful career as a teacher of both guitar and music technology and run the record label Rooksmere Records.
I have worked as a record producer and record label owner (Rooksmere Records) for the past 16 years. Through my work on the British folk scene (Blair Dunlop, Dan Walsh, Fabian Holland, Ashley Hutchings). I have a reputation for recording acoustic acts but in fact I love to record all kinds of music, be it Rock, Pop, Acoustic, Jazz, Reggae and more…
I can help take your project from the pre-production stage, starting with the selection and honing of material, through to the mastering of the final product ready for pressing and distribution both online and physical CD. I wish to help artists realise their full potential and will work closely with you to ensure we achieve this.

I have been performing as a singer/ guitarist for the past 30 years in various bands both locally and internationally. I have worked with many recording artists as a band member and session musician and am always keen to try new things.
I am an experienced guitarist and teacher. Performing to audiences of over 12,000 and touring extensively throughout the Uk and Europe, as well as lending my playing to many a record in the studio. My specialism is in popular music and folk but turn my hand to all styles including Classical, Jazz, Rock etc. Rock School and Trinity College classical grades available. Both carry UCAS Points in Grades 6,7,& 8 equivalent to a GCSE or A Level qualification. I also hold a current DBS certificate
Here at Lower Farm I pride myself on my work and am often asked for help and advise on how I achieve the results I do. Whether it be out of idle curiosity or those seeking to gain the skills to be able to record themselves and / or their band.
As well as delivering the Rockschool music production syllabus at Wellingborough School and for the Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust (NMPAT), I also provide private courses tailored to your own personal needs. You may be interested in recording rock bands, String Quartets, Singer/Songwriters or have a general interest in all styles. Lessons may be conducted at the home studio or, like that of an instrumental teacher may take place at your home on your own setup or with my personal mobile rig.
